Vegan Orange Pie

INGREDIENTS

350g filo pastry ...

100g sugar ...

300g DODONI Plant'd Orange-Bergamot...

1 tsp baking powder ...

110g olive oil...

Zest of 1 orange ...

FOR THE SYRUP

200g sugar ...

150g water ...

Zest of two oranges ...

Juice of 2 oranges ...

PREPARATION

Open the package of the filo pastry sheets and cut them vertically and horizontally. Then, using your hands, cut them into small pieces. Leave them on the counter to dry.

 

EXECUTION

Start by whisking the olive oil with the sugar and then add the orange zest.

Next, add the DODONI Plant'd Orange-Bergamot and the baking powder.

Mix very well with a spatula. Then add the filo pastry sheets to the mixture and mix well again.

Spread mixture in a glass baking dish. Bake for 35 minutes at 180 degrees (fan).

For the syrup, add all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil for at least 8 minutes. 

As soon as the orange pie comes out of the oven, pour the syrup over while it’s still hot.

Allow to cool before serving.
